    MSG Sean M Thomas, served in Afghanistan in 2005 and Baghdad, Iraq 2006-2007 with the PA Army National Guard. He grew up in Hughesville, PA where he is interned following a rocket attack on 27 March 2007 when we lost our friend and brother.

    T. David Slugocki, a former PA DeMolay State Officer, was injured in combat in Iraq. Dave has been serving in Iraq with the US Army, and the Humvee in which he was travelling was apparently struck by an improvized explosive device (IED).

    Gunnery Sergeant Richard E. Shoemaker. Eric was one of the first ground troops in Afghanistan after 11 SEP 01. He has earned the Combat Action Ribbon along with numerous other awards in his career. He has been in the USMC for 16 years, just returned from the a tour of the Gulf with the 26th MEU and will be returning to Iraq in '08.

    James F. Hammond of Shippensburg, PA. Jim enlisted into the US Army at 17 in early spring of 1942. He was assigned as an artillery gunman with the 59th Coastal Artillery, at Fort Mills Corregidor.

    Robert F. Shirey (on the left) was born July 24, 1922 and died April 8, 2000. He was a Ranger in the 2nd wave to hit Normandy and constructed phone lines to the front line.

    In memory of our brother, Private First Class Charles "Sonny" L. Bortner, Jr., born July 1, 1931, killed while serving with our Armed Forces in Korea July 27, 1950 at the age of 19. He was the first person from Harrisburg killed in action.
